Few years back, there was an animation named
"Wall-E". It was about a cleaning robot that have human emotions
which still works on Earth after everyone abandoned it. The Earth is filled up
with rubbishes that can be made into a skyscraper. In the mean time, the humans
are living in their space ship. With the help of technology, they have become
obesity, lazy, and addicted to their gadgets.
Why the Earth was corrupted in the first place?
Is it because of the convenience of technology? Or the
wasting habit of human? Or the human nature for destruction?
Yes to the first two, not sure to the last. Actually all
of those are interrelated.
Try to think this. Human created gadgets to have a easier
life, like phones. Decades ago, people uses letters to send messages, then
phones to call each other. Moving on is the internet. But then, how often do
you change these gadgets? People nowadays is switching their phones every few
months, some even when the newest model is out.
Then what happens to the old ones?
They will be throw into garbage bins. That's the answer.
Destroying a tower needs less time than building one.
To buy a phone, for some people, they need months to earn
the money and days to months for creating one. However, to destroy the phone or
throwing it away, we just need one second.
This made people to think "it is okay to throw away
things because I can have new ones and they are better than that."
That is bad.
We always says it is important to appreciate things. But
that is just as easy as for a person to change their habits, which would happen
in once in a blue moon.
So, to change immediately is not possible, but having
second or third thoughts would might help you to be a little more appreciating
for what you have.
Think before you do.
